On my latest 2010-2011 discs at the top left of the screen you can choose from up is North (So if your heading south it will be going downwards) or you can have it as up is the direction of travel which is best IMHO.

As others have said, you have it set to point north all the time, just press the triangle 09 FL2 HSE auto Lago Grey
