Got a call from the dealer to tell me that my car has arrived and I should be able to pick it up on Thursday. So I'm really looking forward to getting it, may pop round to the dealers in my tea break to have a look.

Picked it up tonight and first impressions are favourable. I thought the CR-V was quiet, comfortable and refined but the Freelander is better in all those respects. The auto box is very good, much better than I expected (I only had a test drive in a manual) although I've only driven it for a short distance home. Looking forward to going for a good drive at the weekend.

I had two of the Freelander 1s and before that a Defender so it's nice to be back in a Land Rover again. Andyfr

Welcome back to the fold. I love driving my FL2 around. Some may suffer problems but my car is ok so far, touch wood. It feels so solid and there is a sense of quality and prestige that you don't get with other 4x4's. I love driving into the car park at work and always glance back at it as I walk away.
