England 2013 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Orkney Grey
Oil Filter Access

Hello,
My first time on this forum so if the following has been asked before please accept my apologies.
I have owned my 57 Plate Freelander 2 TD4 for about two months so I am just getting to grips with it (bit of a difference to my previous Freelander 1 TD4).
My question is basically this, how do you get access to the oil filter cap and what size is the nut? It seems very tight between the cap and the fan housing to get a socket in never mind the filter and cap in and out (I imagine this is similar to my previous TD4 where you remove the cap and replace the paper filter?).
Also, is there any servicing info about the Mk2 TD4? Previously I used a RAVE CD but I cannot find any info on servicing this current model.
Mine currently has the remainder of the LR warranty and then the used LR ‘Approved’ warranty kicks in so I am looking for a local independent (Blackpool / Preston area) for main services. However, I do like to change the oil and filter every 6 Mths / 6K miles regardless of who does the main service.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Chris

It's much easier from below, after you remove the protective shield.
I've seen on my last service that the filter is changed in matter of minutes from below.
