Chrome Accessories

I've got a Stornaway Grey Freelander 2 and I'm considering buying chrome fog light surrounds, chrome upper grille surround and chrome full mirror covers to try and liven it up a bit.

I’ve found all these items on the Powerful UK website http://www.powerfuluk.com/categorylist/landrover-freelander-2/ .

Has anyone ordered anything from this website? If so, what’s the quality like and are the items easy to fit?

Thanks.

Andrew

Re: Chrome Accessories

Hi Andrew,

I have ordered from this site and they seem to be good!

This is my FL2 with Chrome fog lamp surrounds:

What do you think?

I used them for the full mirror covers. They havn't fallen off yet and look really good; particulary goes well with black.
Make sure that your mirror housing is spottlessley clean, they supply a cleaning agent and a wipe with the mirror covers. Otherwise they'll fall off!!!
Bear in mind that once fitted; if you want to remove them in the future eg selling the vehicle, there is a good chance you'll damage them plus the OE mirror housing.

Yeah really easy, clean the plastic painted ones then peal off 3M tape then press on over the area for about 10-20secs.

try not to drive for 24 hours while the glue hardens.

I also got mine from -> http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FREELANDER-2-Chrome-...255d8873a5

Really nice guys went up and met them as the side steps i also bought from them went a bit funny. They replaced them with no trouble. highly recommended.

Steve.

Stownrow,
Thanks for that owd lad. I'm gonna get some! Should look good on a black car. Some on this forum don't like chrome, but i love it.
Incidently, i've lost my Nav-u screen splash screens a couple of times. It happens when i switch the thing on and off too quickly. Not a problem though.

Chromes is good but in small amounts! Smile

As for the Nav-u screen this has happened to me I have been trying to locate the root file and change it. Found all the other ones but the front screen!

Stownrow,
If the slash screen you are missing is the Landrover oval logo, i've still got a copy on my laptop if you're interested.

Yeah got the files just trying to work out a way so when it does a cold reset it keeps the files (will keep you posted).

back to the topic.... lol

i wouldn't have the chrome door handles i reckon they don't look very good and wont wear very well. For the pricey sum of £88 go body coloured entire replacement of the door handles (not stick on). They make such a difference!! Smile

Agreed. I've got just full chrome mirrors and steel sill covers.
Grubby hands on chrome door handles is not a good idea as you rightly say.
