What is it worth.. and best place to sell it

Hi all. Just after a bit of friendly advice.
We have a 56plate (07) Freelander 2 SE. (includes all standard SE equipment) in silver. 30k miles fsh. in excellent condition.
2 owners from new.

Anyone had any experience selling anything similar..? Just wondering what people think would be the best option.. listing it on autotrader or similar, or ringing around the dealers.

Also what do you think it may be worth?

Thanks for any help.

Charlie.

Text the registration and mileage to 80806 and Parkers will send you back a valuation.

Format is:

Price REG Mileage.

Costs £ 1.50 I think. Very Happy Hi Darling, I'll be home in 10 mins. If I'm not back, please read this message again...

Or you could use Glass' guide for free courtesy of Vauxhall Cool

This is very accurate for Trade-in value. For private resale compare against what's on autotrader

Thanks all. had a quick look at the vauxhall/glass guide. Came up at 16.2k for px in excellent condition. Thankfully did not have to visit asda Very Happy

Will have a serious look about at what the dealers have and see what we think.

Anyone had any experience selling on autotrader at all..? Just wondering what the likely response will be.

Thanks.

Charlie.

Sold my last car on eBay and got more than i expected for it.
Also www.pistonheads.com is pretty good.

Auto trader for me in the past is a waste of time, unless you want loads of advertisers calling to sell you ad space at £££

Autotrader worked great for me. I sold 2 high value cars in the past week to eager buyers and didnt have one telesales call offering to sell the car. I opted to use the safe number offered by Autotrader for no extra cost.
Both cars sold within days for £2,000 each more than my local servicing dealer was wishing to pay.

It costs about £30 to advertise and you have nothing to lose.

PM sent and good luck Thumbs Up Discovery Sport Hse Lux, Santorini Black, Ivory Leather Interior, Factory Privacy Glass, removable tow bar.

Thanks all for the responses.

After lots of discussion this weekend we have decided to keep it. I was worried about it falling out of warranty, and possible future costly repairs.
It was going to be replaced by a newer model still covered under m.warranty, but have realised the cost of upgrading the car is significantly more than the cost of an extended LR warranty, and 2 new tyres in about 4000 miles time!
A replacement would only have the same issues in 18 months anyway.

I also think my expectation of getting about £17k'ish was a bit optimistic!

Charlie.
