Forgot to mention.. Ground was pretty hard, so the FL2 drove like it was on the road.

Put it in sand mode, turn off DSC and use the gears. Much fun! Very Happy

Hey Freobhoy,

I have done Lancelin to Wedge a few times, its pretty easy, we usually drive up, BBQ at wedge, then drive back will a little play on the dunes at Lanceline. I have a HSE with the 18" wheels, and its no problem at all, if you have a HSE with the 19" wheels, it would probably also be fine, a SE with 17" wheels would definately be ok, its a trip best done with others as if you get stuck on the beach you could be in serious trouble. The trick is, from Lancelin you have to drive up the dirt track for about 10kms before jumping on the beach - when you head up the dirt track I usually turn left at the military range thing. Many people try to drive onto the beach direct from Lancelin and get stuck straight away, the sand is very soft there.

As for Wedge to Cervantes, I did this a few weeks back, very easy drive, the only caveat is that after a while the track leaves the beach and heads inland and the track gets very narrow and you will get lots of scratches, but nothing too serious, mine all polished out after half an hour. Along the inland track there are lots of little tracks that head down to little coves and things on the beach, very nice.

I think Dorko on this forum also has driven to Wedge, however im not sure if he still is around on here as he has moved onto a Disco4

hope this helps.
