Freelander 2 decision

Hello again. After much thinking and having the salesperson drive the freelander 2 into my Villa/unit garage with internal access decided to put a deposit down on a whistler white td4 HSC with sunroof. It was a difficult decision because i though my measurements told me that i couldn't open the door wide enough to get my little sports wheelchair into the wagon,i was wrong it just squeezed in with the mirror folded and the tailgate opened up with clearance, but will put rubber on the garage door bit up high to stop it touching if not in far enough or i put on the bumper styling cover.(Could someone please tell me how much longer the styling cover will make to the length Confused Question.)Anyway its a lesson to everyone to try and fit into garage first, my security guard friend bought a car once and then found out after that it was too big for his garage and had to sell the vehicle.
Now i wait patiently for a possible Dec delivery and will look forward to driving it to my Xmas holiday destination and prove its capability on the tracks around there...

Know how you feel!

I was basically in the same boat re the garage. But in my case, I'm retrofitting my garage for the car Smile Well, not exactly, our garage and driveway is old, so thought we must as well take the opportunity and build a new carport to fit a car as large as the Freelander, so I shouldn't have a problem by the time I get the FL2.

I'd love to see a white one, shame you're not getting it till the end of the year. Did you get chance to see one in the flesh before you ordered?

There was one on the showroom floor(sold)when i went to make the deal,(nice but harder to keep clean) i like white anyway because its more noticeable on the road and also attracts possible cheaper insurance rates.Got the ebony leather ,(dark interior, white exterior, the so called yin and yang effect that creates balance and harmony),heard about the wood grain trim being a bit cheap looking so got the pixel metallic.
A bit of a tight turn into the garage but will manage with practice, might put up a mirror too and maybe hang a ball on a string and stop when it touches the windscreen until i get use to the dimentions and forward parking sensors.I don't mind the Dec delivery date because it will be the 08 model and our friends at Halewood might improve upon and fix the quality problems that are metioned here on the forum when mine gets built. Neutral
