Hi

Has anyone seen anything about getting an arm rest, either a centre cubby box with arm rest, or retro fitting the HSE arm rests to the SE/XS seats?

@rmbillington, i bought the center armrest as shown in the link, because of the lack of comfort (too low) compared with the original armrests i ordered the armrests at my dealer and had them fitted somewhere in Amsterdam since the chairs needed some modifications in order to have them properly mounted.

@m1964, the armrest is a little small but does not get in the way to put your seatbelts on.

Does the armrest/cubby box get in the way when changing gear in the manual car?

@ all, i posted 2 pics in members gallery at Albert Frederik, so you can see for yourself, i find it too low so i ordered retrofit as you also can see.

For manual shift it seems like it is better then original, when i did a testride i also found the original arm rest not adapted ergonomically.

If it's not too rude, how much has it cost you to have the landrover arm rests retro-fitted?

Was this done through Land-rover?

I'll speak to my dealer when I go to collect my car, and see what they say.

I was annoyed not to find an arm rest in my version , and having driven a 300TDi for many years, I missed it
So I made one up that fits into the rear tray ( wife declared it looked more like a plant pot before the cushione to went on).
Much more comfortable

@rmbillington: i paid 648 Euro for the retrofitted armrests (both chairs)

Important note for new owners...Order a version that has Arm Rest!!

I like an armrest in a car, but while test driving the HSE fl2 we really took a dislike to the arm rests, they seemed thin and cheap and really got in the way of the handbrake and the windy wheel height adjustment wasn't impressive . imho audi/vw are the masters at this kind of thing and other manufacturers could copy them more.

Whats with all this about armrests. You are driving a car not a DFS armchair! Get a life all they do is get in the way of any cross seat activity! still pining for my 3dr, no removeable hardtop, no drop glass tailgate, no roof rack, no pockets everywhere to stow all that man kit
