ordered the freelander about a month back now. delivery expected for first week October...

ordered it through cousin, so i dont know if its the new MY11 shape or the MY10 shape, didnt enquire at the time, only had the current shape in the showroom... what's the chances of it being the new shape? not that its really important, but would be nice to know.

seems like forever waiting for it to come though... can't wait to move on to it...

its an XS 2.2 Auto...Stornoway Grey , with the privacy glass. everything else is standard.

i know diesel will much more then the average car but what's everyone's else opinion on fuel, like how much you fill up? how often? how hard do you drive it? etc.

and most importantly.... how does it feel for you... your own experience?

Diesel engine is just fine and dandy. Pulls very well.
How often do I fill up, too often, but then you only get about 30mpg... So I fill up about once every 10 days.
Hard driving, not really, only when going past other cars...

I've got a MY10 XS just heading to 1 yr old. Now has 20k on the clock and I'm reliably getting 42 MPG as measured over 10k+ driving. This includes town driving in Notts and a commute up from the West Country each week (M5 or Fosse Way) so mixed driving. Very happy with the economy and the way the car has been over the last year.

I don't want to get your hopes up but LR2 maker posted that the first MY11 were in the paint shop last week and going in the trim shop this Monday.
