Amazing statement from LR

Land Rover Works Engineer Manager road tested my 10my FL2 Auto which was at dealers for vibration/resonance.
I was not asked to be present but he phoned me 2 days later. Part of the conversation went like this.

"this is a caused by ECU changing up earlier to reduce CO levels, and there is not a car made that does not have a vibration at some point"

At this point I gave him my CV of extensive experience in motor trade (now retired) and current RAC Motorsport Scrutineers Licence held then advised that we end conversation NOW before he uttered any more nonsense.

A BIG thank you to dealers who persevered and fixed with new front diff.

Drunand can you give more details about the diff problem?

Mine had vibration issues around 130 km/h or so, and I had to get partially my lawyer involved for them to check the car properly.

The dealership has my car for a week now, and today they mumbled something about differential. As I was busy when they called, the service guy talked to my assistant in the company so I have no details. I will get the details on monday when I talk to them directly. 2010 Freelander 2 Select TD4 auto....gone

Nevermind I saw the other topic of yours. My problem is speed related, not revs. 2010 Freelander 2 Select TD4 auto....gone

If they're offering to pay for the 1st service make sure you get something in writing!

Our local dealer was instructed by Land Rover to give us a free 1st year/15k service and funnily enough when our car was 12 months old...they forgot!

Luckily, after some shouting and swearing, the dealer found an e-mail from LR that was sent nearly 12 months earlier when we had our issues and only then did the service. Mine: 2012 Golf GTI Edition 35
