Hi guys, to you all who have replaced your tyres on your FL2"S, quote size 16" 17" 18" or 19", tyre make, front or rear & mileage you got out of them. If I had all the money I spent on Beer!, I'd spend it on Beer!. |

on my first fl2 s i done 19,000 miles and replaced the front, the back ones were fine still 4mm plus when i p/x her.they were conti on 16 inch alloys.i know the conti are a lot softer/wear quicker than thet goodyear wranglers which are on my new fl2 gse,so expecting a far bit more than the 19,000 mark.i have heard of guys on here getting 30,000 on wranglers |

at 50.000 km changed my goodyear's (original) for wintertyres, depending tyrecenter they could still do 10.000 to 15.000 km more but I didn't use them anymore (tyre at 50% looses 75% of grip in rain...) after the winter I took new michelin latitude, so for the moment I have winter dunlop D3D done 25.000 km and still very good, and new summertyres done 4.000 km, so not possible how long they will do, will post next year, or maybe (hopefully) later...

you'll find conti's wear on the edge faster, mine looked bald on the edge, just on the near side front, the 2 garages i spoke too said it due to power steering and going round roundabouts fast...

MOT Tyre regulation states "75% of the centre section must be 1.6mm minimum tread depth throughout the circumference of tyre"

The first set of tyres I had were pirelli scorpion zero [235/60R18]. They lasted for 45000KM. The second set are contis UHP which now have 40000Km on them and they can last for another 5000-7000Km.

Changed mine today Goodyear Wranglers on standard 16" wheels. 3mm left all round, with some edge wear. 36000 miles. My local tyre man did me 3 new ones (I had a new one on the spare) for £130 each. |
