Hi Bjorn

Nice to hear that. The FL2 seemed to go very smoothly. Take it you have winter tyres on?

Here in the Gargano it's only 11C, but I've just lit the fire in case Thumbs Up

We did have snow around Christmas time and even some down here at the house but it didn't settle. Roads here were like sheet ice and as you know it's very hilly and roads are in very bad condition.

Cheers and a Happy New Year

Well done Bjartin Thumbs Up - Maybe some of those summer shoe shufflers from the UK will now understand when we tell them about the benifits of using winter tyres in snow and winter conditions Question

UK traffic would grind to a hault in that amount of snow Laughing 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

Grind to a halt with that amount of snow, you are having a laugh, we don't need that much two inches before Christmas the main link road from us to the M25 a Dual Carriageway was closed for most of the day due to snow. Laughing BMW's abandoned everywhere blocking the road for everyone. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

I've been reading with interest all the views on winter tyres on the forum and wondered what our Scandinavian Freelander drivers believe are the best (non-studded) winter tyres....Vredestein Wintrac 4 Xtreme perhaps?

Here is the latest winter tyre test published by our equivalent to the UK AA/RAC.
http://www.naf.no/Forbrukertester/Dekk/Dek...frie-dekk/

Although this is in Norwegian you can interpretate the main details or use Google Translator. Of course you should take into consideration that our road conditions may not be exactly the same as in the UK, but a useful guide it should be.

The list of tyres tested does not include all makes and types and for some reason does not include the Michelin type (supposedly designed to suite 4x4 vehicles) that are fitted on our Freely and that got very good test results a couple of years ago.

Here is another test that says basicaly the same
