Hi

I think there's only 2 other people (may be even 1) who has one, as they have the original G4 vehicles.

If you do a search for their G4 posts, and PM them, they may be able to help.

Rich

Would love to help - but there were only 7 G4 FL2 made. Most of which were never fully kitted by special vehicles.

The roof rack is manufactured by Breed, maybe they could help. Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her
Replaced by Ewok what a mistake - now a happy Disco Sport owner

Sorry for off topic, but do you know the specifications of those G4 FL2s?
I mean, by what did they differ, technically speaking?
Or can you point out where I can find those differences?

Thank you!
And I'd also love to see how they fitted that winch (Warn 9000XD) and how they've made the wirring.
It's a winch which takes more than 450 Amps when it pulls at full capacity.
Or they closed the eyes and made compromises thinking that they will never use it at full capacity.
But still, even when pulling FL2's weight, it takes more than 250 Amps. And you shouldn't kid around with that kind of current.
But in the end, I believe it was a mistake on the web page and no winch was installed on any FL2... Laughing

No winch for G4, the pic you're referring to is;

I have another picture, not sure where, and this winch is removable, on a plate, which attaches through the grill.

... and how is the winch fitted? The same question like for G4 roof.
Both will be made, but first roof.
PS: Lights guard are finished!

I know those FL2s from the pictures.
The winches were mounted a little unprofessional, by cutting into the plastic bumper and inserting through there a metal plate, rigid fixing it on the front metal bumper. Then on that plate, the winch is fixed through 4 solid bolts. Without the winch it looked quite strange with a metal plate hanging out one foot.

I've seen them two years ago, at Cheia, here in Romania, at Land Rover Academy.
It supposed to be a regular event, but after the first year, the importer refused to supply anymore any cars, because a few scratches and bends. I don't know what he though... That after such a training course the cars will be as new?
