you will have a great time, done mine in ledbury 2 weeks ago,if they push the fl2 to the limits off road you be shocked what the can do.u most prob drive a auto fl2,i was a bit gutted as i got a manual and would rather drove that, but what a drive in a auto, esp off road.would cons buying auto after this. Current: Freelander 2 GS, Orkney Grey, Factory fit privacy glass, design pack and Clearview pack. Almond Leather ,rear spoiler, rear mudflaps.my13.

Comiston Cold LRE (Skipton?) is good but the road test first is not worth the hour - just a selling exercise. Never done it in a FL2 (but turned up in mine both times) always aimed higher and gone for the disco - 3 then 4 this time. I can drive the FL2 whenever I like....

Did LRE at Coniston Cold (Skipton) today in a FL2 HSE Auto - fantastic - even more fantastic that it was one of the 250 prize draws had the lead instructor Adrian - really knows his stuff. Did the road bit first - more of a tech sales talk - but interesting. Then we did the demo track just past the cabin - water, steps ruts - had the vehicle balanced on 2 wheels - all this Adrian did. Then we went a bit further down the track onto the client demo area - good fun - the wife managed to get all 4 wheels spinning and the FL2 going sideways - just at the top of one of the tracks - good fun all round Cheers

I was rung up by LR and offered a half day at Milton Keynes in a dicso3, arrived and during the intro explained that we were more likley to by a FL2, no problem they swopped the disco for a FL2. I was asked how I wanted to split the drive between off road and on road, went for a 1hr on road and 2 off. They obviously temp you by letting you drive a top of range HSE auto (which is better for the off road bit).

Just been on the half day course this weekend, really great experience! loved the on road speed/full on breaking demo. I went for the fl2 but auto, not keen on the road but could see the benefit off road. great off road course with demo and still a real challange on the course I drove on, the fl2 is top, just wish it would have been a manual so I could have had the exact same car. Some of the things I learnt with the auto were easy but migh be harder with the manual. My wife loved it as well but keept getting a for going too fast!!!! |
