Well, when I took it in a couple of months ago I mention that from reading on here, but they said they had done a heater pipe in the engine bay and a system upgrade-mines an i6.

Been for a ride out today but had the heater on around 16-18 so this seems to keep the temp under control.

It has a preheater to help warm the car electricaly as well as the heat from the engine, the recall was due to condensation causing a possible short which could lead to a fire

Did you have the stereo particularly loud for a while before noticing this? I'm not sure if the power amplifiers are built into the head unit but if they are, they will get hot with louder levels. |
