In my youth, when all (almost all cars) were black, my school mates dad who owned a pub and restaurant bought a new Jag (think it was a Mk.9) specially painted two toned coffee and cream. It had a sliding sun roof and chromed spoke wheels with white walled tyres and tan coloured real leather interior. That car stood out in the “black crowd” and all heads turned when we passed them on the home from school or a fishing trip - yeh long story I know, but from that day on, to me black cars have always seemed pretty mundane and do not do justice to the cars design.

Black is the colour of objects that do not emit or reflect light in any part of the visible spectrum; they absorb all such frequencies of light. Although black is sometimes described as an "achromatic", or hueless, colour, in practice it can be considered a colour STILL CANT STAND IT THOUGH!!! |
