2007 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Rimini Red

Anyone watch the 10 o clock news?

On the news tonight they were on about JLR's sucess this year and they accidently showed the 2011 Freelander.

From what I could see, the front grill is more like the facelifted Freelander 1, a solid bar across the grill, the side vents were a darker grey rather than silver, unfortunately it could off before it got to the rear.

Looked like a HSE due to it's wheels.

I just watched it on iplayer.

I don't like that grill, it looks like they have forgotten to fit the rest of it!
Dark side vents could look good though

Looking forward to seeing the rear

It hasn't got body colour trim

Not sure about that grill, liking the darker side vents though. i'll wait until i see it properly.

I don't think anything about that shot was accidental there was some very carfule editing. If you look at the front shot of the green freelander being built they had covered the front landing panel with tape presumably to hide something. Simon

Nah, that's just protection to stop them scratching the paint. The paper buy the side vent is the order details incl the customers name. That's how it is at Jaguar. Quite sweet really. 2010MY Freelander 2 HSE Auto

Seems that the aft line of the rear door is a little different.
Its direction from glass to wheel arch is a little toward the rear of the car than the one on the 2009MY model.
Or maybe is a parallax error of the picture...

Its a very strange looking FL2? If its a 2011MY why isnt the bottom trim of the doors colour coded?

If the grille is a single bar then its gonna look vile!!!! (npinks - the grille isnt missing coz you can see the LR badge on the far right of the bar)

Where are the daytime running lights?

The side vents will look pants unless they are silver!! (in my opinion anyway) Whats the point in blacking / greying them out when there is gonna be ahuge lump of chrome across the bootlid??

Can anyone tell if the headlamps on the green one are different? They dont appear to be to me and they are supposed to be on the 2011MY.

Is this not the pre production model? where the diesel had a different grill from the petrol?

Don't panic guys

My11 hasn't even began production yet. Only made handful for testing. Pics are mix of cars used for training and old stock footage. Notice how empty the backgrounds are? Not like that now. Place is rammed. Btw in pic 1 the car behind the fl2 on the c cradle is an x type. Old pics people. Live your life be free-lander

Doubt that LR would have gone back to orange side repeaters for 2011MY, it's old footage

Thats not the new fl2 as the front grill is too big and no colour coding. The front grill should be level with the headlights.
