Windscreen cracked!

God damn stone hit the windscreen in the bottom corner on the drivers side. There is a small chip but a crack about 4" long. Autoglass are coming to my workplace on Monday between 11 and 3. They couldn't get hold of a heated screen until then otherwise I would have booked them tomorrow. £75 excess too!

Doh!

Anyone else ever had their windscreen replaced? LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

Yes I have Autoglass fitter put in a Solarflare screen, said it was exactly the same as a OEM LR one, said they we made in same factory etc Rolling Eyes Only the rear view mirror fell off when I was trying to adjust it before ied even got off their forecourt

Said when I went in, oh yes he said he'd had trouble we'll order a OEM one instead another day wasted, another chance of them scratching the paintwork when they was cutting out the screen again Evil or Very Mad

I'm sure they was hoping I would notice Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I had mine replaced a couple of weeks back. I had to wait about 5 weeks or so in the end as they had a shortage, but it was fun to watch the crack get bigger each time I went over a bump!!

Not just the bodywork you need to check afterwards, double-check they don't damage/scratch the front of the dashboard where it meets the screen!
