Which Phone Should I Buy -to get best Bluetooth integration?

We just bought an '07 HSE (woo hoo!). One of the features that we liked was the bluetooth phone integration. Current phone doesn't work but that's OK 'cos it's old and I was about to replace it anyway.

Question is, which phone should I buy if I want the best Bluetooth "experience" with my FL2?

I'm open to buying an iPhone but not overly bothered about it. Fundamentally it needs to be a good phone (call quality, battery life et al) as that's what it will be used for for 95% of the time.

If it helps, I'm probably looking for Vodafone to be the provider.

Thanks everyone!

D

I little more info now. It's actually a Sony Ericcson W595 and mine is on Vodaphone with 200 mins plus internet plus 100 texts all at £20 per month. The phone integrated immediately with the car system and it works very well. Lots of features on the phone as well including a super Walkman which you can connect thru the 3.5mm jack plug and play through the car system. Well worth the money. i will warn you though the phone when on Bluetooth uses much more battery than normal but I guess they all do. Ralph

Your obviously going to get lots of responses suggesting that their phone is the best. Had few Samsungs and they were terrible for battery life, now onto Nokia and they get my vote because of battery life and ease of use.
I have a Nokia 6210 Navigator (On Vodaphone) and it's a perfect connection with the car.
Just for your info, when you get your new phone and it connects with the car but the reception is poor, there is a known LR service bulletin about bluetooth connectivity problems - I think it's just a software upgrade Thumbs Up

Thanks all,

I've seen the LR site, but it doesn't seem to compare with people's experience here (e.g. LR site says no to iPhone 3Gs, whereas many on this forum say it works).

Thanks also for the comments re Sony, worth noting although I know everyone's mileage may vary etc etc.

FWIW it looks like I'm torn between basic - Nokia 6303 and full monty iPhone 3Gs.

Cheers

Dave

Thanks for the list Christian but what I've found is that just becuase a phone exists on the list it doesn't mean its compatible.

iPhone 3Gs appears a couple of times, but when you select it tells you it's not recommended as it only pairs less than 10% of the time.

There are folks here who know this to be wrong, hence trying to ask for clarification.

Cheers

My Iphone 3gS pairs first time most of the time, certainly >95%, all the functions work well.

Problem it is such a poor phone out of the car I am going to give it to one of the Kids as soon as I can get my Sony 800i unlocked.
Battery life is down to 2 days, on mine and 28 hours on the wifes, mainly due I think to signal strength. Her old Samsung on O2 in our house had a good signal in every room, the Iphones on O2 only work in the conservatory or the back bedrooms.

And yes I do suffer from fat finger syndrome, Gill has even more fun with hers as she has false nails. Phones with buttons work fine with false nails but the iphone screen doesn't - it needs finger contact. Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her
Replaced by Ewok what a mistake - now a happy Disco Sport owner
