Advice for repair of sunroof blind

I'm wondering if anyone has tried to fix the well known problem that might occur, with the sunroof blind not closing evenly.

In my case, the rear blind doesn't close properly on one side. Upon inspection, I found that its the roller itself that has loosened from its mount on the right side of the axle.

Now, has anyone attempted and succeeded in fixing this, without resorting to a full strip down of the entire roof panel, all the pillar trims and what have you?

If so, I'm anxious to hear how you did it... Shocked Leopard tank drivers never stop at anything.

I had the front blind fail to retract while under warranty. I was told that it was necessary to remove the roof lining to change it. There's an issue also that the pop fixings which hold the lining up tend to need replacing when the lining is refitted as they don't always survive removal.
Not the news you were hoping for I guess, and I assume you are out of warranty?

I was afraid of that AndyT, guess I'll have to inspect it even closer, a led-lamp and a camera might give me some answers, or else I'll just have to pop by Stenshagen and tell them to fix it.

The vehicle is still under warranty, so I don't think I will bother myself with a complete strip down....

This time around. Wink Leopard tank drivers never stop at anything.

I'd definitely get it replaced (not repaired) under warranty. I was told that it's quite a task to get at.
Make sure you check your door rubbers and trims after it's reassembled. Mine had some which hadn't quite gone back as they should - wrinkled door rubber etc. Also beware of rattles/vibration from the roof lining afterwards due to loose pop fittings.
