United States 2010 LR2 i6 HSE Auto Stornoway Grey
Instrument Panel Clock

Hey guys, newbie to the board, nice to meet everyone. I've been searching for an answer to a question over various Land Rover boards to no avail. I even contacted my dealer and they weren't much help. My 2010 LR2 has 3 clocks, one on the radio, one on the nav screen, and one on the instrument panel behind steering wheel. When I changed the format from 24hr to 12hr using the radio the clocks changed on the radio and the nav screen but not on the instrument panel. The instrument panel reads the same time as the other two, but stays in 24hr format. Anyone hear of this or know a fix for it? Thanks. 2010 LR2, Stornoway Grey, HSE Lux

That would be a new one to me

we know the satnav and dash are updated via the radio when you select clock in it's menu.

I'll try change mine and see what happens and post back later Thumbs Up Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I've now checked and like you say, clock and satnav change to 12h the dash stays in 24hr

Oh well, never mind i prefer 24hr clocks anyway Thumbs Up Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Any ideas when the instrument panel clock was introduced?

It's not on our 07 plate and it would nice to have it there since it is easier to look at than the other two.

I know that this may be a little childish, but.... just how many f Censored g ways of telling the time does one need....

Obviously we can all tell the time from the sun, but that is a bit tricky when it is cloudy. I splashed out on one of those new fangled Wristwatch things that I have heard talk of on the Magic Lantern in the corner of the drawing room... Keep it with me all the time you know... Clever little thing it is...

One on the Radio.. Got one of those... And the Sat Nav..., ok in case someone has nicked the radio. Then another one in the dash, in case, some one has nicked the Sat Nav as well...

Don't forget the screen saver one on the sat nav, does that count, oh no, that has been nicked.

Can't wait for the Freelander 3. Clock for each seat and a big projected one on the roof. Perhaps they could develop a HUD Clock so that you could have the image of the time burnt into your retina at night... the possibilities are endless.

I assume that there was some market research done. "So why didn't you buy a Freelander 2 today Sir?" " Only got two clocks mate. My Chevrolet Matiz has Seven. It's blinding." "Ok Sir..." Write memo, we need more clocks...

Sorry, rambling... Hi Darling, I'll be home in 10 mins. If I'm not back, please read this message again...

Do all FL2 have the Dashboard clock?

Mine is from 2008 SE Td4 Version, no navigation except iPhone and TomTom

I wouldn't mind having a clock in the dashboard… I only do have car info, and distance driven and fuel consumption.

Any way how to get the clock running? Freelander 2 SE 4Td Izmir Blue, Dog cage for Alaskan Malamute, iphone Navigon Navigator

Xt
Would agree in my 20's (a long long time ago) I did without a watch for about 5 years and it is amazing how little you need it and where you can find the time. Even now I sometimes forget to put my watch on nd it doesn,t bother me.
