are the black plastic strips that run along each side fully secure, they caused wind noise

My dealer at the time said they had adjusted it but it looked the same to me

It can be a window leaking seal, or a window not raising to it's full height.

Thanks npinks. Much appreciated. Always nice to have a clean car,even if your not popular with your other half! Will get in touch with my local dealer tomorrow and get things checked out. At least i am armed with some information in case they try to fob me off with some excuse/story.

I got told by the dealer that the front section of the sunroof (at the rear) is supposed to be marginally higher than the start of the rear section of glass in order to prevent just the noise that scruffydog is describing It measures about 2mm....

Been to my dealers , Morrisons in Stirling. Very helpful and had a quick look at the car. Agreed that it was an unacceptable whistling noise but couldn't locate the source at that point. Have booked the car in for a day so they can track down the issue. However, this isn't until after I have a trip down to Sheffield. Could be a long journey!! My wife isn't looking forward to listening to that annoying whistle for 5 hours there and back. Better get the music sorted for the journeys!
