I have just sold a pair of Altera Giro,s you can hold the bike with hand while you clamp it in position with the other, good quality carriers.

I got Thule 591 roof carrier about 3 weeks ago.Excellent as you can secure the frame with one hand whilst the other steadies the frame.wheels sit in the tyre grooves...takes just seconds and doesnt wobble at speed.Bought from skydrive.co.uk under£70 inc fast delivery |

Got to agree on the Thule 591s, had these on my FL1 for a good few months and am amazed at how secure things feel up there.
