How to get 'Ignition Only' without starting engine?

Hi

Have just taken delivery of 2 year old HSE. Graet so far but !!!

Stuck on drive trying to figure things out.

Handbook says press and keep pressed the stop start button to get ignition only. When I do this the engine starts. I am trying to set up phone, CD etc and would like to do this without the engine running.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Regards,

AndrewPRD

press (and hold for a second or so) stop/start button without your foot on the brake (clutch if in a manual car).

If you arnt pressing the brake and the engine starts then you have a problem Confused

Tap start button with foot on clutch (or brake) starts the engine.
Hold start button without touching pedals turns on ignition, lights, AC etc.
Tap start button without touching pedals turns on CD player only.
Press twice for the passenger ejector seat....

Thank you both for your help. No foot on the brake did the trick.

Does the panoramic roof open automatically with ejector seat option? !!!

Thanks once again.

Regards.
