The best MPG I have got on my FL2 was about 147mpg Shocked but that was only for a fleeting second after I had reset it whilst on the move. Then it dropped like a stone.

Have to agree about inclines, I have done a few long journeys fro Chester to Paisley and back and do this on one tankful sticking to about 65mph. I amuse myself by playing with the trip computer watching the range and the MPG. Rolling Eyes

Have noticed that on the hills the MPG does change significantly in both directions good and bad.

147 mpg ? I thought 99.9 mpg was the highest that could show on the reading ??

Funny you mention this. My FL2 has recently spent some time in Cambrian Aberystwyth having a fear box problem rectified; and I asked them to look at the fuel consumption issue, as I felt CV10 was not achieving its best potential. They linked it up to the computer and re programmed the injectors. Previusly m y read outs would only record up to 99.9 m.p.g. (going up a 1 in 3 towing a caravan -only joking -) but since its successful treatment, I am now getting readouts in excess of 100 m.p.g., obviously only when going down hill after a recent reset.

I have just averaged 36.1 mpg over 850 miles of mostly around the doors, and 200 miles on a run out . ( not bad). still can't average the 37.7 mph as the book says.
I did get 44mpg on a 200 miles motorway run but did not break over 70 mph. Must of had a tail wind ?? Rolling with laughter

I have had my manual 10 plate XS since the first week in March and the Average MPG has never fallen below 39.8. Currently, it is reading 42.3. I admit not driving at excessive speed and if I ever feel like doing so use my other motor which is designed for the purpose. I think theF2 is extremely economical considering it is 2 tonnes or there abouts Thumbs Up

57 plate 2.2 GS auto - 20,000 miles any day now.... Ave MPG over the 10,300 miles of ownership is 27.0 and our best tankful mpg=31.7.

On recent journey home, 2 people on-board, from Watford (A405. A414, A1(M), A505, A11, A14, A143 - 126 miles got an indicated 34.8 mpg. That was fairly gentle, but up to speed limit driving.

We do lots of shorter trips, and have towed our caravan around 2700 miles behind it which probably accounts for the low overall mpg figure.

Still getting good mpg after two weeks of ownership. The shortest journey i do is 4 miles twice a week otherwise it's at least 10 miles and no stop start. I've had economy driving instructions in the past; dunno if it helps but yesterday i did 137 miles of all sorts, rural, hills and A roads. Looked at the trip this morning 46.2 mpg. Bear in mind i don't drive it hard though the gears and i'm not in any stop start traffic.
I've found the FL2 is much better on mpg if you can anticipate even gentle inclines, 2 tons takes some pulling!!
I'm not here to prove anything, it's just that mpg is a combination of driving style and road/traffic/cold sart cycle and i live in a very rural area. If i'd move to London Town, no doubt the mpg would be dreadful.
But if i'd live in London, i would'nt buy a FL2 anyway!!
