Wheel Corrosion

Thought I had a slow puncture, but when Kwik Fit had a look it turns out there is corrosion in my Valve Hole causing air to leak past, about 1 psi per day

Any one had this problem?

Luckily I've got a Full Sized Alloy Spare, but if another wheel goes I'm in trouble, or is there a fix

Any suggestions greatfully appreciated

I know it's not the answer you want, but you could see if these will sell you a single wheel.

Thought as much EY, Thumbs Up Your one of, if not thee most sensible member I know, dropped my iPad when I saw it Laughing

Peter, do you have metal monitoring valves or rubber, corrosion there is a little worrying, perhaps an aggressive acid based wheel cleaner to blame?

No just the std valves, I think the main reason is 3 very severe winters and 139,000 miles!

About to take it for its 135k service

buy some screw in valves with rubber seating gaskets, any performonce shop will sell them will have a bigger footprint than rubber valves. 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership
