This is a very well known issue with the Discovery 3, definitely a warranty job. Jeez, I hope it doesn't happen on my FL2, as it did on my Disco3! |

Not just a Land Rover problem, same thing happened to the wifes Nissan Micra after 12k miles, couple of months out of warranty - no luck with nissan, none in scrap yards as it seems a common problem. 30% of the wheel now looks corrugated. |

Not sure if i have the same problem, not so much sticky, but noticeable wear of the leather on the steering wheel at 12 and 3 o'clock positions (admittedly the same locations i tend to hold the wheel with my right hand, but with only 20k on the clock, i would not expect this level of wear?

I have a new one too since 5 month (warranty). It was sticky on both sides. The new one has another leather quality and looks much better.

Quick update on this. The car was in today to have the steering wheel replaced under warranty for premature wear and 'sticky' feeling.
