It's a rubber belt and I believe that the change interval is a scarcely believable 150,000 miles (definitely miles, not km). I for one won't be comfortable leaving the belt in place for that long!

On my old pug 306HDI the belt was garanteed by Peugeot for 90,000 miles. ______________________

Its a rubber belt driving exhaust camshaft as well as the coolent pump from the crankshaft. Then there's a chain belt between the exhaus camshaft and the intake cam. Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto

So 240,000 kms in Aussie speak....thats almost the life of the car It will be a while before any cars reach that figure yet. Thanks for the replies. |
