United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Stornoway Grey
Well I've done it. Now need advice about getting a roof box

Well did the deed today. Finally opted for a 3 yo manual HSE, 2007 56 plate with about 29000 miles on the clock. Stornoway grey with alpaca leather seats. It really looks the part and hubby has plenty of head room. The dealer is doing my cherished number transfer off my Volvo so hopefully that will be done soon and I should pick up the Landy in about 2 weeks.

I do need to have a roofbox for holidays though as the dog takes up all the boot. The HSE I am getting doesn't have roofrails fitted & does have the panorama sunroof if that helps. So would appreciate advice on what I need to get, seem to think Thule did some, with feet which fitted under/onto the body above doors somehow (sorry if not describing very well) ?? But which kit numbers ??

Will probably also get a new roofbox as mine is falling to bits and I don't think an old grey shabby plastic thing will look quite right - any recommendations - I think it has a max of 60kg on the roof ???

Thanks guys Bow down

Pacer - I bought the Thule kit recently and think it is excellent. Used The Roof Box Company as have dealt with them in the past and they seem to know their stuff. My car doesn't have a sunroof though so you will have to check with them or use their website, www.roofbox.co.uk for fitting availability. Our roof box is a Kamei Corvara 375 which has been really good, looks smart too.

I recently bought Thule roof bars, they do the job good, bought from roofbox.co.uk.

I also needed a new roofbox, after much research I bought the Autoform Denver 650 metallic black from roofbox.co.uk. This box is huge and really thought I messed up big time when the courier was struggling to carry it down the driveway Laughing

Put it on the car to have a look yesterday and does not look out of place one bit, looks smaller on the car than when it arrived, phew. Huge inside, really pleased with choice, if you are going to buy one might as well make it worth while. Very Happy

Had excellent service with roofbox.co.uk and will definately use them again, only wish I knew about the discount Big Cry Lago Grey 2.2 s td4..e

Just ordered the Thule roofbar package (FL without OEM rails) based on the recommendations. Dont know but never been sold with the LR fitted rails so wanted something i could remove when not in use.

Plan is to have 3 Prorides on top and 2 bike on back with LR towbar rack. Only future plan would be a centre roofbox with a Proride either side. Reason is i want to go camping (big tent) with bikes for 4.

My only concern is weight and strength of the fitting, i think time will tell but im really happy with the existing Thule stuff on the FL1.

Anyone put bikes on the roof using the Thule feet?

Thanks in advance for replies Sport LE Lago Grey

I had a 1443 kit with a pair of 1400 long bars.
The rubbers had 225 on them and the clamp pars had 890 on them.
All from Halfrauds, these were on an ,07.
Not had them on the new one yet.
