Just had a strange experience. Excellent trade in value from my local dealer (due to shortages in 2nd hand market i guess?) but not willing to budge an inch on the list price of new (and I mean nothing).

New stock must be really short (although I did see a transporter full of them today) - has anyone else had this experience recently? The salesman I met with in March has now left - couldn't make a living with nothing to sell. New boy is keen but can't offer anything. People won't wait so why aren't Tata making more?

errr, yep - had a real fight with my dealer in a) securing a car (GS), 1st car i agreed a sale on and paid a deposit, got sold from under me! b) finally forced the dealer to search harder (XS) and hard dealing got me 5% plus Supaguard and Mats - but it was like pulling teeth all the way, i got the impression they would've preferred to wait for a sale at full price!

Pleased with the car, but the customer experience was poor. i got the feedback form from the dealer today.................!

Visited another dealer today on a more casual basis - more or less same message = can get cars but no discounts - expects more to come to market at end of next month. Only three cars in showroom (no FL2's) and maybe a further dozen outside on forecourt (2 x XS for lots of money) - not much to sell (although I note all the sale execs had newish cars.....?)

Seemed to be more Disco 4's around than anything else - is this the car to chase for deals?  There's always a way forward!

Been to a dealers in Leeds today and car I went to look at had sold literally 5 mins before I arrived. Very few FL2's around, lots of Disco 4's.... Superb RRS autobiography but unless I win the lottery won't be buying that! Long and short is that FL2's are selling at price they are being advertised at as more demand than supply!

hmmm, maybe now's the time to change the car...
does anyone know what other cars have rear headrest screens, apart from the RR? not aftermarket but available from manufacturer as option or standard? Phil

wouldn't it be simpler to choose a car then get screens fitted professionally? At work
