i6 after a month of ownership and 1000 mile round trip

Had my i6 for around a month now and just thought I'd share my views.
Just done a 1000 mile holiday/ride about and it's returned just under 27mpg.
The 2 weeks before it was returning 22mpg round town.
Very pleased with the car overall but on the forum here the petrol versions seems to be a little scarce on the ground.
Just got myself a detachble towbar off ebay-gen landrover,so I'll see how much of the kit I need to cut away as they don't recommend towbars for the HST kitted cars-just for the mountain bikes!
I'll post a couple of pics in the gallery.

The i6 is a gem of a car, and in alot of ways I wished we had bought the petrol as they sounds fantastic and go like stink! Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

Performance is good, had an 06 BMW 525i before this and to be honest this feels quicker off the mark and only just behind it on economy.
I was a bit dubious before I bought it as the only reviews you can find say you only get 20 or so mpg.
But if it stays where it is I'm happy, only down side is the £405 road tax a year!

Millduu your mpg returns on the computer sound spot on, you can get into the 30's on long runs being very light footed but then again you can get down as low as 18 if you try hard enough.

The road tax is more as you say but then again as you bought quite recently I imagine you got a good deal on the car compared to a 2.2 TD which should be taken into account and also the sound is awesome so sit back and enjoy.

Top tip one day when you feel rich put it into sport mode and plant your right boot it will rip the tyres to bits Thumbs Up
