I took the FL2 in for a 3 year service, warranty check and body work check yesterday.

I asked them to look at a knocking noise when you break and lift of the pedal, it sounds like its coming from behind the glove box, its not loud but there. They have told me this is normal play in the break linkage? and have compared it to other cars and is normal. Has any body else got this noise and is it normal. I'm off out with the main tech on Monday to show him. It would be good to be able to tell him no body on else has it! or it might be normal. I drove 3 other FL2's before i bought this one and they didn't do it, also I'm sure this didn't do it until about 3 weeks ago.

My warranty runs out on the 30th but I'm in on the 29th ............

any advice would be much appreciated.

certainly doesn't sound right !!

and play in the brake linkage ?? what linkage would that be.................more likely to be a steering ball joint, etc

there should not be any noise at all, unless there is a fault.

I've also just discovered they have turned my 1 cd player into 6 cd player with a software update, so now it won't plat any CDs . if you have a look at this post could you let me know how many don't have a knock on release of break pedal so I can quote "well 20 members on freel.2 have no knock" to the senior tech on Monday. they'll have to change my cd software back as well. I thought it might be a new player at first.... no such luck

No knock on mine mate, good luck at the stealers. We Don't Care About Pot Holes !!

waging at the dealers now.... main man now agrees it's a spring in brake servo and the radio is a total mystery to them. they are trying a hard re set and if no luck pictures and contact LR WARRANTY.
