Well I never........I'm Famous!

Hi All,

Only joined the forum 5 days ago as I am looking to purchase a TD4 in the very near future. I have spent plenty of time reading alot of the posts which has been very informative as I need to decide which spec and colour to choose and agree a price / budget.

I then went on and viewed the gallery and to my amazement there is a photo of me in the factory gallery!!
Shocked I do not remember that being taken!!

At this point I can confess that I work for Land Rover and have worked on the Freelander 2 project for a few years now as a result of the launch phase being complete I have now returned to my native homeland of Solihull. Having watched this vehicle being built I have seen first hand the vast improvement over Freelander 1 in terms of design and assembly quality, its a shame that it could not still be built in Solihull Sad but the Halewood plant have been outstanding Thumbs Up

I do not like reading about the problems that some owners have experienced but I think generally the responce from the public has been very positive, there still appears to be a few niggles though! Sad

I hope to add some useful information to the forum in the future........ although I can't say too much!!!................ Whistle His - BMW 116i SE - love it! BMW 118i SE on order!

Hers - Merc A150 Avantgarde - hate it!, want to change this for a NEW FREELANDER ASAP! providing my local LR dealer can actually be bothered to get back to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! May look elsewhere..............!

Nah, every make of car has it's troubles these days, a result of all the technology being packed in, I guess.

Oh for the days of Plugs 'n' Points Whistle “You feel uneasy, as the mad scientist locks the door behind you & dissolves the key in a vat of Acid”

captain_sugar - Must be a different Swiss Tony as I heve never been on that forum! Rolling Eyes Do I need to change my name to protect the innocent? The picture is in the gallery, factory album.

Pelyma - your right the pti has been abit troublesome....... Rolling Eyes If its any consolation other manufacturers have the same problems as LR

Carlfraz - Loyalty............err! Whistle ..... Land Rover was once owned by BMW, does that count? Would love to own a Land Rover and all being well I will do soon although it may still be too much money but here's hoping! 10% employee discount will help but it might not be enough Big Cry I am very confident that this car will be a success, but then I would say that! Seriously though, it is now built in Ford's Best manufacturing plant so that speaks for itself Thumbs Up His - BMW 116i SE - love it!
