I've also gone with Aviva who offered a competitive quote @ £270ish - Didn't realise they weren't listed on the comparison websites maybe worth a look as they're offering 2 months free.

My insurance last year was £365.00 for the lowest quote at renewal in June. After loosing my licence for 6 months for speeding and having to cancel my insurance I was dreding having to start up again. Renewed for same price but the insurance company I left was quoting £340.00 how does that work. Having said that my wifes insurance company refused to allow me back on her policy so that company will be changed at the renewal later this month. |

why do you have to cancel insurance when banned, it not like you have to sell the car so you need to insure it for theft and the mrs to drive Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis |

Had a look at AVIVA and its over £500, I guess postcode 'M' has lot to do with the price increases as Manchester comes up near top with car crime.

NP If you don't have a licence either provisional or full you cannot have a car it seems. I couldn't even get off the road insurance for it. The Mrs could have insured it but she has her own car so it would have cost us a fortune. Fortunately nothing happened to it while parked in my driveway. |

The price of Insurance is based on a number of factors - age-NCd-number of drivers-claims etc. However I have found my current insurer to be very competative in pricing and also in the top category for paying claims-customer experience etc. I have just renewed my comprehensive cover for my new 10 plate XS - Price £261 inc protected discount with no voluntary excess. The insurer - Co-op - go to their website and get a quote |

Avviva have just quoted me over £500 on mine s I told them where to stick it - I am disapointed really as I have been with them for the last 3 years on my MG Express Van & the premium last year only went up by £10 & this year there was to be a £0 increase. Im currently paying £500 for my HSE, have the bodykit fitted which strangely makes it more expensive than a HST to insure. Most of the prices I got at the time were around the £800 mark, one even quoted £1,300 |
