Lost most of the AM stations and the ones I can get are breaking up.
Sad
well out of warranty, and going away tomorrow so will have to investigate in a couple of weeks time.

Typical, just bought a Hawkeye to diagnose any electrical problems, and the one thing it doesn't do is the radio Big Cry

Hoping it's just the ariel connection. Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her
Replaced by Ewok what a mistake - now a happy Disco Sport owner

Sounds like the aerial.

Mine is completely dead on AM - even though the pre-sets are correctly tuned to various stations.

I had the AM module fail on my previous car, 57 SE. Replaced under warranty......... JT Upgraded to an ex demo, 7 mth old, Rimini Red/Ebony Napoli Auto HSE on 28th Jan 2011, added roof rails, mudflaps and side strips.
Gone - A great 57 Plate, Auto SE, Bought Feb 2009, Roof Rails and Mudflaps added on purchase. Blue colour, anything but drug dealer black.....

Presumably before the warranty ran out?

Mine went into the dealers today also. Mainly for a service but to also look at the AM radio issue and a noisy A/C fan.
The upshot is that the car is staying overnight as they have ordered in a replacement radio and A/C fan which is going to be fitted tomorrow Very Happy

Does anyone know the part number for the radio module that needs to be replaces and/or how much it is?

Many thanks

If I remember I'll ask for the number and cost when I collect the car.
I believe you would need the whole radio though. A cheaper option would be to either see if a salvage yard may have one or replace it with a double din radio if that's possible.

Hmmm... interesting. Mine being a 2008/57 XS - wonder whether this applies or not?

Would be nice if it is just the aerial.

Do you get any sound out of it on AM at all?
