I think you may have to be more realistic with your price friend  2010 FL2 XS Auto in Santorini Black with HSE alloys

I seem to be able to get a new 2010 S for around £22k so I thought that it would be realistic to get a 2 year old one for under £19k

Maybe, they do depreciate slowly though from what I've seen.
I was looking around and there are hardly any s/h, if you aren't too fussed over spec why not go for a new speicial edition white or black they are 19500 and 19995 otr............... also like hens teeth though 2010 FL2 XS Auto in Santorini Black with HSE alloys

It's the auto that pushes the price up tho. I think its fair to say that few S models had that option (tho I have seen one or two), its mainly the more expensive ones up the range. The auto is really good tho, you won't be disappointed

One Other Question is - Am i really gaining that much over an 'S' model with a GS or XS other than half leather on the XS and Blue-tooth? I can see the difference with the SE with Sat NAV and leather .

Dont think the S has the twirly adaptive terrain thingy knob (excuse me if my technical brain is toooo much!) Newer XS has sat nav too + heated seats reversing sensors etc to GS & XS 2010 FL2 XS Auto in Santorini Black with HSE alloys

Only difference on my/swmbo GS's compared to S was:-

- Front Fog Lights
- Terrain Response
- Cruise Control
- Rear Luggage Cover

Rear parking sensors are fitted as standard on the GS, not sure about the S. Front sensors optional extra.

Thanks Phil, I have obviuosly wrongly assumed that cos I was after one (XS) less than a year old it would be the same for all models that are fairly new. 2010 FL2 XS Auto in Santorini Black with HSE alloys
