Wales 2013 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Orkney Grey
eastnor castle landrover experience day.ledbury

had half a day at eastnor yesterday,in a fl2 off roading.im no expert in off road driving, but have a little sense of doing it.i learnt loads off the instructor (gareth),on ways to get the best out of the fl2 and how things work in off road situations.cant belive its capabilities Thumbs Up and i mean it,very very impressed, the terrain that i was expecting to drive over,i thought would be quite artifical in a way,but were far from it Shocked i would recommed this day out to every one,the tyres were smoking, sliding towards trees, had the rear off side wheel 30 inches off the ground Thumbs Up this was a free bee voucher to me when i bought my fl2 in november.if u have one you must use it Thumbs Up or post it to me Thumbs Up i can see where landrover get GO BEYOND from now.i would never of thought a fl2 would overcome some off the terrain we covered, without significant damage to something, only 2 gaurds fitted underneath, sump and tank i think, the rest was totally std, even the tyres.cant wait to go again. Current: Freelander 2 GS, Orkney Grey, Factory fit privacy glass, design pack and Clearview pack. Almond Leather ,rear spoiler, rear mudflaps.my13.

Yes I did the Ledbury bash last year after I bought my babe. I was also amazed and would love to see any of the other non Landrover "off-road" vehicles tackle the terrain. The instructor said to me that a ML320 they had on test had to be rescued less than half way round with damaged undercarriage. I asked if the Disco was much better than the Freely and his reply was that the Freely is good but the Disco is in another world. I am sooo glad that I don't want to go off road! Ralph

Did the experience course in Cheshire last year in a D3, just after buying my FL2 - didn't know I was getting a FL2 when I booked it Embarassed .

Half way around the instructor told me to stop driving it like a Freelander - ie being careful where you put the wheels to avoid grounding.
I will agree the D3 is in a different league off-road, takes a little skill out of it though Wink Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her
Replaced by Ewok what a mistake - now a happy Disco Sport owner
