Had a read, thanks. Don't know if I feel as generous to give them to SWBO for her FL2. She might get the wrong idea! Just keep them for the Disco.

Think I might have this sorted. The dealer is quoting me 60 pounds for the 4 wheels up to the Highlands and yes I gave him the postcode. Have to collect from the courier depo or another 30 quid to come out to me. Should be confirmed later today or tomorrow. That being so, I'll take it. Thanks to all. If things change, I'll get back to you.

It will look ultra cool. Cool

Eat your heart out Chicken Man, there's a new kid on the block with a cooler motor than yours. If you want some advice on how to tart up the old car, give us a shout.

That is good price for up there. We get thumped for the Highlands. I had a look at the freight rates and it was going to be over £ 100.00. Didn't bother with the PM!!! Hi Darling, I'll be home in 10 mins. If I'm not back, please read this message again...

Yes, it was City Link 24 evidently. The garage asked me for my postcode, said they'd ring back and came out with that price, confirming it was Highlands. I was surprised too. I'd gone on Shiply.com and got a quote of 78, which I considered cheap. A Brucie Bonus. Makes up for SWMBO spending 500 quid on an outfit today.

City Link do have a rather annoying habit of delivering up to 3 days after they promise to in this neck of the woods.

When I ask why I am told it's because you live in a remote location.

I told the lady really? We have hot and cold running water, electricity AND telephones up here now.

She didn't get it Whistle

Yes, the price is very good. I've tracked the consignment, which was sent yesterday pm and it's en route. Delivery date down for Friday, tomorrow. The only thing that may have sped things up is I am collecting from the depot rather than home delivery, but for 13 miles it was going to be another 30 squid on top of the 60. Remember these are 20" alloys and tyres. We will see. Fingers crossed.

Yep, alloys arrived safe and well at 11am this morning. Astonishing considering it was 60 squid for Birmingham to the Highlands in a day and they were 20" wheels. All fitted this afternoon I hasten to add.

Although city Link, it was done via Paisley Transport/couriers, whom can be found on a web search or Ebay.
