No problem changing gear with the adjustable arm rest fully forward (I have a manual) and its very comfortable to rest your arm on it and place hand on gear lever. Only slight down side is pulling the hand brake up easily.

And my dog Bertie can have his back legs on the rear seat and front paws on the arm rest and look out front next to his dad - ahhhhhhhhhhh

Super guys. Thanks for all your help. Alex, they have been pretty good to me also but I needed information from the guys with the armrests on their vehicles.

A crook, never used, one owned one or even owned a sheep they tried to make me shear a sheep at agri college but gave up when blood started squirting everywhere,,I'm a leftie you see hard to teach.
