Just in case anyone else has the same issues with insurance i have managed to track down the ABI code for the new sport

Hope this helps, one thing i did notice is that its a group higher than the GS it is based on and has the equivalent rating as an SE Sport LE Lago Grey

It's not actually based on a GS it is a stand alone model that has some of the GS equipment plus amonst other things the addition of Leather & more expesive wheels which in the insurance company's eyes would cost more to replace or repair than a GS. Thumbs Up We all Know they don't miss a trick to squeeze you for a few extra quid.

Hey dont slag off insurance companies. mine let me have the 20" alloys on the D3 for nothing. Even sending out a confirmation of that fact by letter.

Its one of a Limited Edition run of 500 vehicles with various sport specific features

Comes in two variants

Freelander 2 Sport LE Exterior – Non Body Styling version
Colour keyed exterior trim with side sills, door handles and exterior mirror caps painted to match the body colour.

* New and unique 19" alloy wheel – diamond turned
* Accessory "bright" side vent
* Roof spoiler
* Standard grille

Freelander 2 Sport LE Exterior – Body Styling version
The Body Styling version has all the non body styling features plus:

* New front and rear bibs
* Side sills
* Exhaust finishers
* Lago Grey only

The Freelander 2 Sport LE interior is a key feature of the vehicle. It includes a 2-tone interior leather/cloth colourway featuring Storm seat facings, Ebony side bolsters, Ebony seat backs, Ebony carpets, Ebony lower door casings and Ebony centre console and lower fascia. The door casing inserts are finished in Ebony/Storm PVC (with body styling) or Ebony/Storm cloth (without body styling).

The Body Styling cars will all feature an interior which consists of the limited edition seating finished in perforated Napoli leather with driver's electric adjustment including height, recline, lumbar support and cushion tilt, and passenger height and recline (8/6 way). Please note that the Napoli leather trim will be charged as a cost option at £950 (17.5% VAT).

The non Body Styling cars will have an interior which consists of the limited edition seating finished in Visa cloth and leather with electric driver's adjustment including height and recline, manual lumbar support and passenger recline (6/4 way). Details of colour schemes as follows:

* Sports seats with Storm centre panels and Ebony borders with Storm headrests.
* Matching Storm stitching to door casing and seats.
* 2 tone PVC/cloth door casing and seating.
* Storm contrast PVC binding to ebony carpets with Land Rover branding and Sport LE front and rear carpet mats.
* "Sport" headrest embossing

i cant believe we have to stick the sport badge on the boot at PDI, the sods at the factory cant be bothered! they all do that!
