England 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Zermatt Silver
new members reporting for duty

Hello

We are Wes and Claire the new owners of a 07 SE td4, named her Myrtle.

We've always been into landies, we have the disco 2 this also moves the Lurcher Albion about and we have a 1975 lightweight for when we fancy the challenge of reaching our destination. The Lightweight was a wedding present - don't most newly weds get pots & pans!!!

Live just outside Guildford and know a funny story about a disco 2 and a four foot corn snake ,those are the most important facts covered!
All the Best

Hi wes & claire and Myrtle,

I have an airportable too! Mines a series III, 1974, ex RAF search & rescue and Ive had it 12 years now. I think you will find the Freelander 2 a lil more comfortable, but just as much fun, good choice Thumbs Up

It's good to see another enthusiast for older Land Rover models, as well as new ones, on here. I'm getting excited about monday week - a new arrival is expected! Sadly, my lovely old FL1 TD4 is going to have to go in part ex; we've had some brilliant adventures and I'll miss it.

I've never named any of my cars - how on earth did you arrive at Myrtle!!!

Dudes

Didnt expect to find a lightweight splinter faction here! mines a 1975 Royal Marines GS now enjoying semi retirement as summer plaything and variable velocity smoke and noise machine.

As for the name I dunno she just seemed like a 'myrtle' Wes and Claire

Welcome - good to see another member from the South - we seem to be a bit out numbered by our northern friends.

The light weight sound like hard work - but fun. Smile 2009 XS Manual in Martinique Blue with XS Style Pack, Privacy Glass, 19" Alloys, Private Plates, Wood Company centre armrest, stainless steel sill protectors.

Maybe your Myrtle and my Emily could become friends.
A Truck, Utility, 1/2ton, 4x4 is definately on my to buy list, For Xmas a few years ago my wife bought me an old copy of the User Manual in anticipation. Miles better pressy than smellys any day of the week. still pining for my 3dr, no removeable hardtop, no drop glass tailgate, no roof rack, no pockets everywhere to stow all that man kit

Hello Upnaway dude

Another lightweight man to add to the splinter faction!

A lightweight will not : go well
stop well
steer well
A lightweight will : get bent all out of shape
drink fuel like ollie reed
breakdown loads

All in all a real man car go and buy one!

Cheers
