While your waiting for a guard to keep your bouncy pooch safe how about your local B&Q for 6' of this (below) cable tie to the rear passenger top grab rails - looks dodgy but will do the job while you await delivery. Thumbs Up

as far as i know the ones on eBay which are Half Guards from the top of the seats backs up are not genuine LR

But if you do get a genuine LR one, and have to drop the seats down often, whether fully or one side, it's a pain in the rear end with the OEM LR ones opening been quite small

have a think about your needs and take the above points into consideration Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Hi I have one of these

http://www.dogtrailers.co.uk/b21/b21-freelander.html

Its not cheap, but after having two Spaniels running around in my last car, getting, hair, mud, sand and water everywhere. It saves a lot work and keeps the rear completely clean, you even get a rubber mat to protect the bumper. Plus it just kifts out when you need the extra space, no undoing of bolts etc. Plus the wife thinks its great as she can put the big shop in and it doesn’t spill out.

Could be worth considering for the long term

I tried a Halfords guard with the extending side bits this is supposed to fit most cars, I think people have used them with success in FL2 but our dog seems to be a relation of Houdini and he got past the guard Shocked I replaced it with a Travail Half guard that sits above the seats, this allows the seats to be folded & the space still used with the guard in place, its sturdy easily removable and the boot cover blind still fits in. Houdini's relation has so far failed to get past it Thumbs Up What if there were no hypothetical situations?

I must be lucky - even as a pup my choc lab was so so good and stayed in the back - Kids gave more trouble and mess. Love 'em, train 'em and there so biddable. Unlike the human part of the family.

Hello,

If all goes to plan and my car is sold on Saturday I'll have a nearly brand new Travall Half height guard for sale. I've only had it since Oct/November.

Adam.
