I havent, but I will, but I doubt they will beat the price I am being quoted, also I would have to pay a carriage charge to get them here. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

I fancy colour coding my car, its 2yrs old and zermatt silver, will there be a noticable difference between the new and old paint?

As some of you know, I was looking to fit the bodykit to the car. But I reckon this may not be the best way to go now. So I think I am going to buy new door panels and rear bumper and have them all colour coded like the 2010 model.

What do you think?

Probably just as cheap to go the bodykit route so long as your front bumper parts fit properly unlike mine!! (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red.
(Past) RR Evoque Dynamic Lux Si4 In Firenze Red.
(Past) RR Evouque Pure Tech in Barollo Black with bespoke Firenze Red colour coding.
(Present) Freelander Metropolis 2015 MY In Santorini Black with Ivory Premium Leather.

That depends on the bodyshop that paints it! (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red.

No it's not unfortunatly. Depending on where you go, your looking at between £1600 and £1950 for the bodykit supplied and fitted. If I fit it myself, your looking at about £1300 - £1400 just for the kit.

I have just ordered the door and wing panels, and they come to me at £174 inc VAT. So they will be painted first, painting will be approx £100 to £150. So that will be under £300 total to finish the doors.

I can get the new rear bumper for £199 + VAT, so your then talking about £250 of paint to do the rear bumper and re-do the standard front bumper.

So well under a thousand pounds. As we have a private plate on it, it will look just like a 2009/2010 model. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

Right then, rear bumper is going to be ordered next week now, doing the whole lot and not messing about.

I went to our Land Rover bodyshop, and he has quoted me £450+ VAT for the following.

Paint and fit the new rear bumper
Paint and fit the door panels
Remove all stone chips from the front bumper and re-paint the whole front bumper including the small grey sections.

Two of the door panels are on back order, so probably a month to wait. I know to do the whole 2010 facelift right will need the new front bumper, but I am going to stick with the original for now and if it peels off the grey bits, I'll replace the front bumper.

Should get everything done for £970. I know it's alot of cash, but the end result will be in effect a car that looks like a 2010 model, but a 2010 model will cost be about £13000 on top of mine!

I am also going to re-badge it Freelander 2 and lose the LR2 badge, so it will sort of feel like a new car. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........
