Welcome, got any snow to try the 4 wheel drive in. Don't put petrol in a diesel. They don't run well. |

@carnoch, thanks! Try coming here in Dubai from November till January during winter season where temp drops to 12-17C. By the way, I took my LR2 to the famous Jebel Hafeet Road today and I was very satisfied. When you come over here for a break, try going for a drive on this road. It's exhilarating!!! CommandShift came in very handy during the the uphill and downhill hairpin turns. (The Jebel Hafeet Mountain Road extends for 7.3 mi (11.7 km) up the mountain, rising 4000 ft (1219 m). With 21 corners and three lanes (two climbing and one descending), the immaculate road was called the greatest driving road in the world by Edmunds.com and was built by Strabag International Cologne,Germany - Wikipedia). some pics:

OK - just send sand - we've had plenty of TR twiddling in the snow but I've yet to use my sand setting for any reason (not auto so no trick "launch control" starts! @ Chris B. You can still use sand for better acceleration in manual. Also makes the Freely feel tighter as it's putting more power to the rear.

Here now in Dubai. Seen a few nice SUV's and a smattering of Freely's. Have tried hiring one, but no luck so far Busy working, and mad driving habits. Great place though. Indus Silver
