Business car magazine just published the following data:

LR sold 9,747 cars in 2009 (12,516 in 2008) Giving it a position of 20th in the top 100 fleet manufacturers
LR Freelander 4,136 cars in 2009 (5,454 in 2008) Coming 54th in the top 100 fleet cars
In the Business car top 5 small 4x4's:
1st Honda CR-V, 2nd VW Tiguan, 3rd LR Freely, 4th Ford Kuga, 5th Audi Q5 - The Toyota Rav4 wasn't in the running as most of them were in ditches with the throttle stuck open (OK made that up)

Edit: Top 5 large 4x4's, 1st RRsport , 2nd LR Disco 3rd Volvo XC90 , 4th BMW X5 , 5th Lexus RX450h

It's an UK thing...
Globally, lets say in Europe (and I include here UK), the things are quite different for sure...

Sales may be down but the FL2 share of all LR sales was up 2%!!

If they sold 10 Freelys in Norway last year I think that would be grossly over estimated. Tiguan sold many hundreds I believe, as did CRV and RAV'is.
So here the story is very bleak.
