breakdown!!

ok, 2 weeks into ownership and it's a LR Assist job. Car wouldn't start and all LR Assist could do was ask about the towbar fitment (which was fortunately fitted by stealer) On spot diagnosis didn't help so its gone back for more assessment. Will update when I know more

Oh my God! Should I worry? Just fitted my towbar and the dealer reprogrammed my ECU. It's the first week I have it... Good luck with yours pjvdad and keep us posted about the final diagnosis.

I had a dealer fit towbar including ECU update and have not expereinced any problems that can be attributed to it. (have expereinced the starting/reset problem both before and since the towbar fitment).

I see you are in cheshire, who is your dealer?

Hope you are well looked after in the mean time and car returned in good order asap.

Dealer for both my dads F2 and my D3 are Guy Salmon, knutsford. So far they've been good, providing a courtesy car (auto F1 HSE) and keeping in touch. latest news is that it's a wiring loom problem which requires some replacement part Exclamation not revealed by LR recovery diagnostics. Not sure of detail but will post when I know more.

Chose Salmons because they're local and did a reasonable price for the D3. No deal on the F2 tho and don't expect them to be competative at service time although I'll give them a go. Internal comms could be better becuase they're customer relations man rang my dad and asked him how the F2 is Evil or Very Mad Father enjoyed pointing out that it had been recoverred to their care Big Cry

I'm customer of GS in Stockport, from a sales point of view i would NOT recommend them to my worst enemy, no secrets here I've told this to the dealer principle exactly what i think (he gave all the right responses BUT I'm sure it was all b' Censored ) however there ARE a couple of good guys in the service dept.

I had a sales call from GS just a couple of weeks ago, reflecting my response to the LR website last August, I had great fun playing with the sales guy, eventually explaining that I had bought a vehicle in Jan of this year.

LR admin is absolute CRAP, today I've received sales 'blurb' about FL2 twice, with two different reference numbers. This is the third time I received this despite replying to it twice and trying to draw their attention to the fact that I'd already bought the bloody vehicle.

All this crap about the carbon footprint is a total waste of time if they can't get the bloody mailing list right....

I absolutely love every mile I drive in my FL2 (all 11.5k miles plus) but there is no doubt in my mind that LR marketing and customer responsiveness is a pile of CRAP .... I hope that someone from LR reads this and gives it a second thought ...

Know where your coming from . Personally I set my expectations pretty low and am easily pleased- otherwise I'd be constantly grumpy and life is just tooooo short Smile
