DVD Player & Reversing Camera.

Presumably some who have the headrest monitors have added a DVD player, if this is so what make is the player, is it single or multi-disc & how have you connected it?
I can't find any on Google.

Also has anyone installed a reversing camera that works in conjunction with the sat-nav screen? I have heard this can be done. (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red.

Love the idea of a reversing camera that works on the satnav screen.
Will save me buying yet another new number plate for wifes car, yes I know mine has reversing sensors, but I wait till they scream then reverse another foot, some times two feet Rolling Eyes

perhaps wire the sensors up to an under testicle electro shock device then? painful but if it saves you money its got to be worth it Confused

I have seen on this forum a gadget that converts signals to be playable on the LR sat nav, forget how/where, I think it was linked from the RRS forum At work

The round connectors at the top are extra video inputs, we just need an electronic wizard to figure it all out.

Wiggs over on Disco 3 has had it working for years on there motors but the Freel2 system is different.

This is interesting - I'll try help out here.
Can you possibly post a close-up of the connectors top right? They look more like RF connectors than analogue video but yellow is the standard colour to denote a composite video in/out.
Another issue would be to deduce how to select an external input. There may be a pin on a multiway connector that could be pulled high or low to enable it. Not seen a menu option for it.
If anyone has any further info - model numbers/manufacturer/schematics/pin-out tables/anything that would be most useful.

OK, that all looks simple enough. I have accounts with 3 different companies where I can get suitable connectors/cable. The only unknown right now is how input selection is performed. I'll still need to find more info on the screen to work that out.
Has anyone removed their screen? Any instructions for me??

No DVD player, I use an ipod touch. I also considered a psp and an archos pmp at the time. For any of these, you just need the appropriate composite av connector. Phil

Are Land Rover the actual manufacturers of the OEM satnav? Or are they outsourced to another company?
