General Info required about the Terrain Response System

I undertsand the concept of the Terrain Response System, and from practical use, see that when it is in Grass, Snow and Ice it seems to deal the change up point of the gears (well in my auto anyway). My question is this:

What does each setting actually do to the car?

If anyone has a reference they can point me to I would be very grateful, since the handbook doesn't elaborate other than saying when driving on x turn knob to y. (I know exactly how the HDC works)

Very grateful ahead of any responses Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Freelander 2.2e HSE , Privacy, Fully debadged, 19" Chrome SHadow alloys

Bet you didnt know thst with the terraine response off ur engine is actuallly sending 90% of the power to the front wheels and it only sends any to the rear if the traction control senses lack of grip.
This aparently is how it get its very good mpg as it isnt driving all the wheels all the time. Thumbs Up

Ahh, but if anyone questions it, all land rovers (execpt early series ones with free wheeling hubs) are permanent 4 wheel drive.

Most SUV style 4x4s at 2 wheel drive, but can send powers to the rears. LRs always have some power going to the rears. Proper 4x4s you see Very Happy
