Did they use the tow bar 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

Yes you guessed it the ameteur tow bar and tie.Thinking about it it was an earlier Disco than the 3 and I think it was a set up for the guy running around in the Audi with a good looking reporter.

towballs should not be used for recovery pulling, the ball can shear off - at great speed .

edit. towballs may only be used for recovery on caravan sites. once any non vanners have been warned and have retired to a safe distance At work

Towbars/balls can have several uses other than towing. Placing an caravan hater's rear part on the ball and taking a short off-road excursion, may cure a whinge or two 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof. Stornoway Grey with Ebony Black Pleather, Clear Indicators, Body Side Mouldings etc. |

the tow eyes on the front or the rear are the best points for recovery though these are not 'officially rated' recovery points as on the Disco3 etc as LR don't think the FL2 will get into such situations Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis |

The manual certainly says that these should only be used for on-road recovery which implies that these points are weak?
