I am having trouble with my alarm system on my 07 Freelander. The problem is that if I leave all windows open the alarm wont go off. If I sit in the car and put the alarm on it still wont go off, but if I open the bonnet while sitting there like a nut the alarm will work. Has anyone had the same problem and if so what was the conclusion. I used to own a Volvo and you could manually switch off the sensors so that you could leave a dog in the car. Is there anything like taht in the Freelander ? I have just spent half a day at my local Stratstones and they coulnt cure it. |

If you want to leave the dogs in the car or leave the windows open only press the Blip once this will then not set the volumetric side of the alarm so it will not detect anythinany movement in the car. One press locks the car the second sets the alarm. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior |

SE model in South Africa doesnt have internal alarm no matter how many times you press. I think the bonnet alarm works off the one press system. |
